A delicious and easy recipe for homemade honey garlic meatballs, perfect for a quick dinner. Made with ground beef, dehydrated mashed potatoes, and a flavorful honey garlic sauce.
1. In a medium size bowl, combine all sauce ingredients: coconut aminos, rice wine vinegar, chili garlic sauce, honey, sesame oil, garlic powder, corn starch, salt, and pepper. Whisk until combined and set aside.
2. In a large bowl, combine ground beef, dehydrated potato, Worcestershire sauce, 1 tablespoon each of minced garlic and ginger, 1/8 cup diced onion, egg, salt, and pepper. Mix thoroughly and roll into 12 even-sized meatballs.
3. In a large pan on medium heat, add 1-2 tablespoons of olive oil. Sear meatballs on both sides until browned. Place meatballs on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper. Bake in the oven set to 350 degrees Fahrenheit for 10-15 minutes or until cooked to 160 degrees internally.
4. In the same large pan on medium/low heat, add the remaining garlic, ginger, and onion. Sauté for 1-2 minutes until fragrant. Add all of your prepared sauce to the pan and heat until slightly thickened. Add the cooked meatballs back to the pan and cover them in the sauce.
5. Serve with some jasmine rice on the side and garnish with thinly sliced green onion and sesame seeds. Enjoy!
